Art | Song Salon: False Idols
March 19th, 7:30-9pm
The Embassy Network
399 Webster St
When you are so passionate over anything to the point of worship, how can it not disappoint? Knowing this, what value is there to understanding your own desire to create false idols?
Kicking off our first Art | Song Salon of the year, we are very excited to present the work of renowned Bay Area Sculptor, Georgianna Krieger and Installation Artist Michal Wisniowski. Through their discussion, Michal and Georgianna will touch upon the theme of false idoltry in their work: how it can help to inspire, motivate, or betray their artistic process.
We are also thrilled to have Bay Area composer Michael Kaulkin present his piece "The World Rolls On," which will performed live by sopranoJessica Wan and pianist Tim Eischens. Jessica and Tim will also perform songs by Gabriel Fauré and Stephen Sondheim.
Join us for another casual, intimate night of wine, thoughtful discussion, with great company. The last few events have sold out, so get your tickets early: http://artsongsalon031915.bpt.me/
